We neeed a updated version with more stuff added to the k9 like if you hit a key it attacks

Hi, thank you for the awesome plugin, I don't ever patrol without ever using it but I do have a small problem. Sometimes upon opening up the weapon wheel and selecting a different weapon, the whole game will crash. I did multiple tests and it always occurs whenever I have a partner active, so it I can only think it is coming from this. I did insure I have downloaded the latest Darkmyre API but to no avail. Has something like this occured to anyone else?

Haven't heard of anyone else having that problem. Is it with particular weapons, or randomly?

I narrowed it down some more and it only happens if I were to have used the 'Get all weapons' option from SNT for my character. I'm thinking some of the new DLC weapons are incompatible with the partner or it's just too many weapons I am going through.

Ah yep it quite likely is the new DLC weapons. I've been thinking of removing Partner's weapon-mimic feature anyway as it results in him always using a high-powered weapon, but not sure when that'll make it into release yet.

Thanks for the confirmation! I was worried it was my installation. But not a problem though, I'll just stick to the original loadout I had before all the dlcs. Thanks!

Now, to your issue. I am not aware of any of the bugs you mentioned being present in the plugin. First thing I would try is ensuring that you have the latest DarkAPI (included with Search Warrant download) and the latest RagePluginHook and RageNativeUI.

 

If you would like us to help you further, would you please be able to post a link to your RagePluginHook log (pastebin.com works well, rather than uploading the file).

This doesn't work.  When I have a partner, I cannot scroll the commands menu to be able to issue him a command, he doesn't aim where I aim like he is supposed to, I cannot summon a K9, and when I dismiss my partner, he tries to take my car away.  An update to this would be awesome.

Commands are currently only for the K9, he's not meant to aim where you aim, need more info on what you mean by "cant summon a K9", and him taking the car is default GTA behavior when a ped is dismissed.

I apologize, I could have sworn I read the cop was supposed to aim where you aim.  I was unable to summon a K9 at the same time I had a partner but it works separately.

Hi @Asahammer,

 

With regards to aiming the partner will shoot enemies if engage hostiles is selected. The partner does not aim at the same location as you, however.

Overall a great mod, though I do have a few MINOR issues. 1 issue is that the leg holster I use in my EUP created outfit does not show when my partner uses that outfit, but it does when I use the same outfit, strange. And also in the features you mention that the partner will leave his door open when he gets out on a traffic stop, that also doesn't seem to be the case as he closes the door every time.

Hi @GunnDawg,

 

When leaving the vehicle while in a traffic spot you should be prompted to choose whether you want partner to (a) run rego (b) stand beside patrol car (c) wait beside suspect car or (d) hold driver at gunpoint. If you ask partner to stay beside the patrol vehicle or hold the driver at gunpoint he should leave the door open.

 

If you are not seeing the menu, you may need to make sure you have updated the plugin to the latest version. If you have these options and are still having this issue please let us know which options you are having trouble with.

You sir are correct, thank you. I didn't use the mod enough to learn that. I simply told him to go to the suspects passenger side door, in which case he ended up closing his own door, which makes sense. He does indeed keep it over with the other options.

@Darkmyre Whenever I spawn my partner with one of my saved outfits on, he is never wearing the holster. The only way I can give him a holster is by going into object spooner and changing his accesoires. Second thing, The holster does work when I spawn a clone but the only problem with spawning clones is that my face always morphs into his face?!?!

Hi @LATERUIK,

 

I can't say I've faced that issue myself, have you tried fiddling around with the accessories in your outfit? Some of them will 3 options and you may have more joy in creating a separate outfit for the partner with different accessories selected if that works for him. Dark may know of a bug but my partner has always had a holster and it seems strange that he wouldn't have it as the plugin essentially just replicates what is saved in EUP.

Is it possible to add a .ini toggle for the return vehicle feature. My partner just ends up driving it into a wall and completely destroying my car

Minor issue with The "Recruit" function. As I'm not using EUP at the moment (I'm running RDE), I'm using the default cop peds myself.

The problem is, whenever I summon a recruit they're an exact clone of me (Presumably because I'm always the closes cop ped).

It's definitely a nice feature to have, but this is my minor bugbear with it.
