There is currently an issue affecting some email providers/accounts, where they are not receiving confirmation emails. Strangely this does not seem to be the usual type of email issues, as it only affects some users (while others using the same provider can register without a problem). I'm investigating this as best I can. If you have not received the confirmation email within an hour (and have double-checked your spam/junkmail folders), please contact me via the "Contact Us" page linked at the bottom of every page, and your account will be manually activated as soon as possible.
