KNOWN ISSUE: The tape sometimes droops through the ground, especially when there is not much wind or with longer pieces of tape. User more barriers and shorter pieces of tape to help reduce this effect. This is due to the limitations of what cloth physics can do in zmodeler/GTA V. I am looking for a way to make the tape more taught, but so far it does not appear to be possible. If you want to try to improve the model files to reduce this issue, by all means feel free to give it a try and let me know if you find anything else. Please do not complain about drooping tape in reviews, this is a KNOWN ISSUE that I CAN NOT FIX because of limitations of the game engine that are outside of my control. KNOWN ISSUE: You may need to install a modified gameconfig.xml, depending on your version of GTA V. If you already have a modified gameconfig.xml to support add-on vehicles, you should be OK. If you haven't before and your game crashes on startup after installing Police Tape, you need to install a custom gameconfig. Below are links to gameconfig.xml versions that are known to be compatible with Police Tape for several recent game versions. 1170 downloadsThis DLC pack provides a central place to install your custom car modifications, without finding which patchday each model you want to replace lives in. This also makes adding your custom cars back after a major update a simple 2 minute job. This version also includes a peds.rpf to keep your custom ped modifications sorted and organized. INSTALLING THE DLC: Copy the folder 'customcars' to GTA V/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks In OpenIV, browse to GTA V/mods/update/update.rpf/common/data, and extract dlclist.xml to your desktop or somewhere convenient. Edit the file you just extracted, adding the following line to the bottom of the file, on the line before </Paths>: <Item>dlcpacks:\customcars\</Item> Save and close dlclist.xml and drag it back into OpenIV in the same location as above. INSTALLING CUSTOM CARS INTO THE DLC: When installing replacement custom cars, instead of installing the model files (.YTD and .YFT) to the location specified, install these into the DLC: GTA V/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/customcars/x64/vehicles.rpf If the vehicle requires a custom handling line, this can be installed here: GTA V/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/customcars/data/handling.meta If the vehicle requires carvariations changes, this can be installed here: GTA V/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/customcars/data/carvariations.meta Unfortunately, vehicles.meta contained in DLC packs cannot overwrite the default vehicles.meta, so if your car requires a vehicles.meta change, it must be done in the default location: GTA V/mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/levels/gta5/vehicles.meta The vehicles.meta file included in customcars can only be used when adding new vehicle models.
